最近,研究人员在城市水平进行了新生儿遗传筛查,并且确定了与非综合征型耳聋相关的遗传位点变异的普遍性情况。研究有143家武汉当地医院参与,研究人员对在2015年12月到2014年5月出生的142417名新生儿进行了筛查,并利用实时定量PCR对GJB2 c.235delC、SLC26A4 c.919-2A>G和线粒体变异位点 m.1555A>G及m.1494C>T进行了分析。另外,被发现携带变异位点的新生儿再次利用测序技术进行二次分析来进一步确定。研究人员还在一个707名新生儿组成的亚群中,利用实时定量PCR、ARMS-PCR来比较花费、敏感度和操作手续情况。研究发现,在该群体中,出现频率最高的听力损失相关的等位基因为GJB2基因中的235delC位点。总的来讲,4289(3.01%)名新生儿携带至少GJB2 c.235delC、SLC26A4 c.919-2A>G或者2个MT-RNR1变异位点其中的一个。尽管实时定量PCR失败率更低,研究人员发现实时定量PCR与ARMS PCR具有完全一致的结果。另外,实时定量PCR花费更低并且操作时间更少。

最后,研究人员指出,与参与医院的持续合作将会确定在出生时期和早期儿童时期,听力损失相关的变异的特异性和敏感性,从而对大规模群体背景条件下新生儿听力遗传筛选的作用进行评估。
