许多进行体外受精治疗的医生发现即使胚胎质量很好,许多女性还是会在进行体外受精治疗的过程中出现重复失败,直到现在科学家们对于子宫壁是否是导致体外受精治疗失败的主要原因一直不清楚。

这项研究在许多出现治疗失败的女性子宫壁内发现了异常的基因表达,这些异常表达的基因形成一种特定的基因“指纹”,如果出现这种基因“指纹”通常都与治疗失败有关,这一发现在预测体外受精治疗能否成功方面具有非常重要的意义。

在这项研究中,研究人员对43名重复出现移植失败的女性子宫壁进行了活检取样,这些女性都存在三次以上的胚胎移植失败或者在进行多次移植后植入胚胎无法继续妊娠的情况,另外研究人员还对72名接受体外受精治疗或者卵胞浆内单精子注射后成功生产的女性子宫壁进行了活检取样。

在对样本进行分析的过程中,研究人员发现80%出现重复性失败的女性的子宫壁存在一套特定的异常基因表达谱,而这种异常表达在获得成功治疗的女性子宫壁中没有出现。

Frank Holstege教授认为,这项研究告诉我们许多出现重复失败的女性可能是由于子宫对胚胎的接受性问题而出现不孕情况。这样的女性成功怀孕的可能性很小,这一信息也可以让医生为病人提供咨询时有更加清晰的依据。而那些不存在该基因表达模式的病人还可以选择继续治疗,她们成功怀孕的可能性会更大。
