此项研究共纳入17例健康受试者，并以随机顺序输注AG、UAG、AG+UAG或生理盐水。输注ghrelin30分钟以实现稳态水平，并在糖耐量试验期间持续应用。在输注期间对比各受试者的急性胰岛素应答(AIRg)、胰岛素敏感指数(SI)、处置指数(DI)和葡萄糖耐量(kg)。

结果显示，AG输注使空腹血糖水平升高，但对空腹血浆胰岛素水平无影响。与生理盐水对照相比，AG和AG+UAG均使AIRg降低，但单用UAG则无此效果。SI在各药物输注期间无差异。AG使DI和kg降低，并使血浆生长激素水平升高;UAG则无此效应。UAG未改变生长激素、皮质醇、胰高血糖素和空腹脂肪酸水平。UAG选择性降低了葡萄糖和果糖消耗。
