研究人员对100名疑似HS患者采用EMAFOFT、潜伏期(IOFT)和室温OFT (RT - OFT)诊断。此外,还包括10免疫溶血性贫血(IHA),并对上述4项测试的表现进行评估。对5个正常对照组和患者进行了EMAFOFT评估,并使用接受者-操作-特征曲线(ROC)分析计算了cutoffs

研究发现%EMA下降的最佳截断率为12.5%,而FOFT %残余红细胞(%RRC)25.6%RT - OFT的敏感性和特异性分别为62.06%86.3%,而IOFT的敏感性和特异性分别为79.31%87.67%。流式细胞仪测试均表现较好。EMA的敏感性和特异性分别为86.2%93.9%FOFT分别为96.6%98.63%FOFTIOFTEMA染色结合试验的灵敏度为100%,但与EMA相比,具有更高的特异性。Hb/MCHC是疾病严重程度的预测因子,而%EMA下降和%RRC与疾病的严重程度无关。

用于诊断HS,流式细胞渗透脆性试验是最可能的单次测试实现的,其次是EMAFOFTEMA的组合可以100%对患者正确诊断,这些测试很可能在将来取代传统的OFTs
