英国伦敦大学国王学院等机构研究人员在新一期《英国医学杂志》上报告说，他们与爱尔兰、澳大利亚和新西兰的同行一起，对这些国家5600余名首次怀孕的孕产妇作了跟踪调查，详细考察了她们怀孕前的医疗记录、饮食习惯、体重和血压等状况，以及怀孕期间的生活习惯和产后母婴健康状况。被调查者中共有61.3％顺利、足月完成分娩，母婴健康状况良好。

结果发现，如果能在怀孕前几个月直到生产这段时间保持健康生活方式，比如适量运动、膳食平衡、避免吃药，则孕妇出现早产、产后并发症及婴儿健康问题的风险都有所降低。研究中所指的健康生活方式具体包括多吃水果、保持血压和体重在正常范围等。

领导这项研究的伦敦大学国王学院研究人员露西·查普尔说，虽然这只是一项初步研究，但证实女性在怀孕前和怀孕期间保持健康生活方式的确十分重要，因此有怀孕打算的年轻人应首先养成健康的生活习惯。
