Annals of Int Med：无功能肾上腺瘤并非真的“无功能“

在一项队列研究中，来自波士顿布莱根妇女医院的Diana Lopez及她的同事们对无功能肾上腺瘤的出现是否会增加心脏代谢疾病的发生风险进行了分析。数据来自于166名良性无功能肾上腺瘤病人和740名未患病参与者，研究人员对每一名参与者都进行了至少三年的随访。

除此之外研究人员还回顾了参与者们的医疗记录，对一些疾病事件结果的发展进行了总结，其中包括高血压，混合糖尿病，高脂血症，心血管事件以及慢性肾脏疾病，相关数据来自对参与者平均长达7.7年的随访过程。

经过分析研究人员发现混合糖尿病的发生风险在无功能肾上腺瘤病人中显著高于未患病参与者（分别为27.3%和11.7%）。无功能肾上腺瘤与其它结果无显著关联。除此之外研究人员还发现虽然postdexamethasone cortisol水平仍处于正常水平，但无功能肾上腺瘤越大，postdexamethasone cortisol水平就会越高，同时2型糖尿病的发生率也越高。

文章作者表示，根据这些结果科学家们应当重新评估将良性肾上腺肿瘤归为"无功能"是否足以反映激素分泌表现以及它们所参与的代谢风险。该研究进一步拓展了人们对无功能肾上腺瘤和疾病风险关系之间的认识。
