胃肠道微生物与哺乳动物健康息息相关,宿主与微生物之间的相互作用关系着哺乳动物的新陈代谢、免疫稳态等生理反应。胃肠道内微生物群落结构的平衡和稳定关系到宿主健康的维持,否则会引起糖尿病、肥胖、脂肪肝、肠炎,甚至抑郁、癌症等多种疾病的发生。对胃肠消化道不同区段微生物群落结构的准确了解,是研究肠道微生物生态及其与宿主健康关系的起点。

吴晓磊教授与段丽萍教授课题组的这篇论文,利用高通量的焦磷酸测序方法,以动物模型C57BL/6大鼠为研究对象,首次系统分析了沿胃肠道不同区段(胃、十二指肠、空肠、回肠、盲肠、结肠和粪便)的微生物群落结构特征组成。发现了不同区段的微生物群落结构存在明显差异,例如,Lactobacillaceae在胃和小肠,Bacteroidaceae、Prevotellaceae、Rikenellaceae、Lachnospiraceae以及Ruminococcaceae在大肠和粪便中分别占优。该工作同时提出了不同区段存在不同的“核心微生物组(Core microbiota)” 组成。这些工作不仅为在研究中广泛使用的C57BL/6大鼠的胃肠道菌群分布提供了重要的基础数据,也为肠道微生物群落及其与宿主健康关系的研究提供了重要信息,被Faculty of 1000 以“这项工作在该领域具有特殊重要性”为由推荐。

Nat Commun:胃肠道细菌变化可阻止中风发生
