最近,来自宾夕法尼亚大学的研究人员发现,饥饿会减弱炎症性疼痛的行为反应和情感特性,而不会改变急性伤害性反应。这种效应是通过集中控制的,因为饥饿敏感刺激相关蛋白(AgRP)表达的神经元的活动消除了炎性疼痛。

AgRP投影亚群的系统分析揭示,饥饿和炎性疼痛的神经处理在后脑旁臂旁核(PBN)中会聚。引人注目的是,AgRPPBN神经元的活性与饥饿或镇痛药一样有效地阻断了炎症性疼痛的行为反应。

研究人员还发现,饥饿的抗伤害性作用是由PBN中的神经肽YNPY)信号传导所介导的。

通过调查饥饿和疼痛之间的交叉点,研究人员发现了一种介导竞争性存活需求的神经回路,并在PBN中揭示了NPY Y1受体信号作为抑制疼痛的靶标。
