这篇研究的目的是在体外使用X线微断层(XMT或micro-CT)技术研发和测试一种新方法，以此记录、显影和定量牙齿实时的脱矿情况(或再矿化)。研究长期的目标是为了提高对脱矿进程的了解，以便研发更理想的人造龋齿模型以及更好的定量化龋坏治疗效率和预防制度。

这篇研究的目的是在体外使用X线微断层(XMT或micro-CT)技术研发和测试一种新方法，以此记录、显影和定量牙齿实时的脱矿情况(或再矿化)。研究长期的目标是为了提高对脱矿进程的了解，以便研发更理想的人造龋齿模型以及更好的定量化龋坏治疗效率和预防制度。对脱矿的研究是将牙齿包埋在塑料容器中并使用流动脱矿溶液进行脱矿，同时不间断的进行扫描。这种方法的主要特征为：脱矿溶液循环安全、定期中断以调节X线灯丝电流和再聚焦、准确的光束硬化校正和校准、重建扫描的调整以及标准化灰度水平以补偿X线光谱的变化。另外，此方法是通过扫描拔除的第三磨牙在8天中的脱矿情况进行测试。结果显示，从重建的3D影像来看，人造龋损的进展能够可视化以及定量化。龋损进程每天在0.1mm左右，在正常情况下会腐蚀的更快。结论：研究成功研发了一种方法来实时3维的监测脱矿情况。未来的工作焦点在于创建更好更真实的龋损模型。临床意义：脱矿和再矿化的动力学观察将有助于发展新方法来治疗和预防龋齿。原始出处：Davis GR， Mills D， et al.
