本研究共纳入了206例受试者,以软组织肿块活检结果为参考标准。所有受试者在活检前行B型US、MRI和SWE。由3名骨肌放射科医生独立评价US图像,随后同时评价US和MRI图像,并对病变进行恶性、可能良性、可能恶性和恶性分类。对于SWE,计算横向横波速度(SWV)的ROC曲线下面积(AUC)。利用多变量Logistic回归分析探究SWE和肿瘤恶性独立于人口学特征和影像学表现的相关性。

结果为,在组织学检查中,79 of 206 (38%)例患者病变为恶性。SWV显示对US诊断病变分类为良性或可能良性具有良好准确性,SWV在对无论有MRI信息诊断为可能恶性或恶性的病变并不能提供额外的实质性信息。然而,多变量模型显示,因为病变位置(交互P = .02; 浅表OR = 17.7 [95% CI: 1.50, 207], P = .02; 深部或混合OR = 0.24 [95% CI: 0.07, 0.86], P = .03)、年龄(交互P = .01;如43 years, OR = 0.72 [95% CI: 0.15, 3.5], P = .69; age 72 years, OR = 0.08 [95% CI: 0.02, 0.37], P = .001)诊断准确性可能会有变化。

本研究表明,横波弹性成像联合US能够提高软组织病变诊断准确性。然而,由于受病变位置和患者年龄的因素影响,单一最佳截断值并不适用于所有病变。
