垂体瘤卒中发病早期症状各异、病情复杂，影像表现多不典型，临床诊断较为困难，早期处理也没有统一的标准。为了规范垂体瘤卒中的诊治，中国垂体腺瘤协作组组织国内神经外科、内分泌科、放射科和眼科的专家，围绕其诊治特点进行讨论，提出11条推荐意见，形成了《中国垂体瘤卒中诊治专家共识》（以下简称共识），以供医务人员在临床实践中参照。
