Computational & Applied Mathematics began to be published in 1981 with the name Matematica Aplicada e Computacional. From the beginning, this journal represented the main scientific publication of SBMAC (Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics). This society was founded in 1978. Computational & Applied Mathematics is the natural corollary, in terms of scientific publication, to the growth of the community of Applied and Computational Mathematics in Brazil. This area is reasonably developed in the country which, at the present, exhibits many reasearchers with regular participation in the international scientific field with consolidated reputation. The objective of the journal is the publication of original research in Applied in Computational Mathematics, with interfaces in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations Research, Statistics, Social Sciences and Economy. The journal has the usual quality standards of scientific international journals and we aim high level of contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance. CAM is currently reviewed in Mathematical Reviews.
