弥散性血管内凝血(DIC)是由多种原因引起的全身止血系统的活化。研究报道，抗凝血酶(AT)、蛋白C (PC)、血栓调节蛋白(TM)等生物标志物为成人DIC的附加标志物。本研究旨在确定PICU儿童显性DIC (ODIC)和非显性DIC (NDIC)患者的生物标志物之间的关系。

研究纳入103名受试者，年龄1个月至18岁，在清迈大学(CMU)医院> PICU住院24小时，他们的潜在条件易于DIC。入院24小时后检测生物标志物。在第一次调查中患有NDIC的受试者将在入院第3天至第5天进行其他测试。

国际血栓与止血学会(ISTH) DIC评分显示ODIC发生率为24%。ODIC组出血、血栓形成、死亡明显高于对照组(P < 0.05)。ODIC组AT、PC的平均水平与NDIC组相比有显著性差异(分别为66.9% vs 79.9%， P < 0.001, 46.1% vs 59.2%， P = 0.004)， TM的平均水平两组间无显著性差异。在DIC评分中加入AT后，预测死亡率(曲线下面积(area under curve, AUC) = 0.662 vs AUC = 0.65)和出血(AUC = 0.751 vs AUC = 0.732)均优于原评分。

研究表明，ODIC在危重症儿童中普遍存在。不良结果在ODIC患儿中更为常见。在PICU入院24小时后的PC和AT水平似乎是PICU中ODIC的有用生物标志物。
