近期发表在Pediatrics的研究为许多家长带来了好消息：宝宝出生后第一年时间里耳朵感染率下降啦！德克萨斯大学医学分校的研究者认为更高的母乳喂养率、使用疫苗和更低的吸烟率可能是导致感染率下降的主要原因。

儿科教授Tasnee Chonmaitree发现与上世纪80年代和90年代的相似研究相比，宝宝的耳朵感染率显著下降！3个月时，感染率由18%下降到6%；6个月时，感染率由39%下降到23%；1岁时候，感染率由62%下降到46%！

从2008年10月到2014年3月，研究者纳入了不大一个月大的367名婴儿。研究者获取了婴儿的耳朵感染家族史、烟草包括、母乳喂养和配方奶喂养等情况。同时收集婴儿鼻子和喉咙的黏液样本寻找感染的证据。当婴儿出现任何耳朵感染或上呼吸道感染的症状时，通知研究人员，然后接下来的5天内由医生专门观察婴儿。

Chonmaitree说：“我们明确的观察到，频繁的上呼吸道感染、鼻子里携带细菌和缺乏母乳喂养是耳朵感染的主要危险因素。延长母乳喂养时间，可显著降低感冒和耳朵感染发生率（耳朵感染是感冒的常见并发症之一）。过去几十年里婴儿耳朵感染率的下降可能受益于医疗干预，诸如肺炎和流感疫苗的使用，以及香烟暴露的减少等。”

急性中耳炎或耳朵感染，是儿童常见感染之一，也是儿童就诊和使用抗生素或手术治疗的常见原因之一。如果宝宝在不到6个月大小时耳朵感染了，那么在他接下来以后的生活中，该疾病反复发作的风险会很高。
