混合精油可能成为治疗脂溢性皮炎的替代疗法。

皮肤真菌病在世界各地都有发生,最常见的病原体是白色念珠菌和马拉色菌。马拉色菌是一组亲脂性酵母菌,在皮脂蓄积的身体部位增殖,皮脂蓄积是脂溢性皮炎发生的决定因素,而马拉色菌被认为是这种疾病的病原体。脂溢性皮炎是一种炎症性疾病,影响有皮脂腺存在的身体部位,如面部和头皮。脂溢性皮炎虽然是一种几乎不会出现严重并发症的疾病,但由于美学因素的影响,患者最终会出现情绪甚至社会问题。随着微生物耐药性的增加,寻找新的抗微生物药物变得越来越必要。就合成抗真菌药物而言,近年来新药的研发并没有取得显著进展。精油(EOs)主要由萜烯组成,并以其抗菌特性而闻名。不同EOs及其组分的组合可能是开发预防微生物耐药性产品的一种有前景的替代方案。这些物质的结合促进了它们作用谱的增加,而不需要增加浓度。

Planta Med最新的一篇文章,研究者评估了EOs单独或混合使用对浮游状态和生物膜状态的马拉色菌的影响,以及它们的抗炎和诱变潜能。

在评估的40种EOs中,22个在0.5 ~ 2.0 mg/mL浓度下显示抗马拉色菌的活性。在最活跃的品种中,一种由Cymbopogon martini (Roxb.) Will. Watson (MIC = 0.5 mg/mL) 和Mentha × piperita L. (MIC = 1.0 mg/mL)组成的混合精油(BEOs)被选中,棋盘实验发现其对酵母菌具有协同作用。添加Varronia curassavica Jacq. 抗炎油可维持其杀菌活性。BEOs也表现出抑制生物膜形成和根除生物膜的活性,其作用优于氟康唑。此外,它没有显示出诱变潜能,也没有干扰两种评估细胞系的细胞活性(HaCaT和BMDMs)。TNF-α水平只被C. martini降低,当评估BEOs时,这种属性得以保持。BEOs对IL-8水平没有影响。
