患自身免疫性阿狄森氏病(AAD)疾病的人可发展为其他自身免疫性疾病。由于他们经常显示自身抗体而不是抗肾上腺皮质自身抗体(ACA)，因此可能对预测其他疾病如1型糖尿病(T1D)的发展可能有意义。

患自身免疫性阿狄森氏病(AAD)疾病的人可发展为其他自身免疫性疾病。由于他们经常显示自身抗体而不是抗肾上腺皮质自身抗体(ACA)，因此可能对预测其他疾病如1型糖尿病(T1D)的发展可能有意义。在成熟的T1D相关自身抗体中，可以发现znt8自身抗体(ZnT8A)，但不含GADA抗体和IA2A抗体。因此，本研究的目的是评估ZnT8A在AAD患者队列中的流行率。

研究了36名ACA患者(19名儿童和17名成人)ZnT8A的情况。ZnT8A在儿童和成人中均检测到，总体流行率为19%。此外，研究结果还表明，无论年龄大小，70%以上的人群中ZnT8A与T1D共存相关。即使另外30%没有T1D的患者的ZnT8A滴度较低，但由于存在发生T1D的潜在风险，仍需进行随访。这些病例中的ZnT8A也可能是AAD中与肾上腺损伤相关的自身免疫标志物。

本研究认为：由于ZnT8A筛查已被纳入T1D诊断研究，因此，也应纳入AAD人群自身抗体筛查。
