近日,一项发表在国际杂志The Journal of Cell Biology上的研究论文中,来自洛克斐勒大学的研究人员通过研究鉴别出了一种信号通路,其可以刺激棕色脂肪细胞摄入葡萄糖,或可用于治疗2型糖尿病和肥胖。

当机体面对低温时,交感神经系统会激活棕色脂肪细胞表面的肾上腺受体进而刺激棕色脂肪细胞对血液中葡萄糖的摄入,随后棕色脂肪细胞会利用葡萄糖作为燃料来为机体产热。葡萄糖的摄入也可以通过胰岛素来诱导,然而尽管研究人员已经揭示了胰岛素刺激的葡萄糖摄入,但是肾上腺受体依赖的葡萄糖摄入的机制尚不清楚。

这项研究中研究人员通过对小鼠进行研究发现,mTORC2信号通路是棕色脂肪组织肾上腺受体刺激的葡萄糖摄入的关键调节子,一种名为mTOR的蛋白激酶参与该过程,其可以刺激名为GLUT1的葡萄糖入口蛋白向棕色脂肪细胞表面进行运输。研究者Tore Bengtsson教授说道,当前我们发现的新型信号路径和由胰岛素刺激的信号路径并不相同,这就意味着棕色脂肪细胞中的信号通路很有可能在2型糖尿病患者机体中处于激活状态,而2型糖尿病患者机体中的胰岛素信号恰恰处于被损伤状态。

本文研究为开发有效的工具来控制2型糖尿病患者机体的血糖提供了一定的帮助,同时也揭示了,刺激mTORC2信号通路从而利用棕色脂肪燃烧的能量或许是治疗肥胖的有效策略。
