校正分析发现,SFA与2型糖尿病发生呈复杂的相关性。14:0 [肉豆蔻酸],16:0 [棕榈酸],和18:0 [硬脂酸]与2型糖尿病发生显著正相关,对糖尿病发生风险分别为
肉豆蔻酸(myristic acid) 1·15 [95% CI 1·09—1·22], 棕榈酸(palmitic acid)
1·26 [1·15—1·37], 硬脂酸(stearic acid) 1·06 [1·00—1·13])。与之相反的是,奇数碳SFA则呈现保护效应。15:0[十五烷酸]和17:0[十七烷酸]与2型糖尿病发生显著负相关。十五烷 酸为(HR: 0·79 [95%CI:0·73—0·85],十七烷酸为0·67 [95%CI:0·63—0·71]。作为长链SFA方面,20:0 [花生酸],22:0 [山嵛酸],23:0 [二十三烷酸],和24:0 [木蜡酸]对2型糖尿病的发生影响的风险在0.72-0.81之间。

这项研究表明,血浆磷脂SFA与2型糖尿病发生密切相关,但是它们的效应是不一致的。这项研究也提示对SFA的亚型分别进行分析是十分重要的,对今后指导脂肪酸的类型也有一定的指导价值。
