血浆磷脂饱和脂肪酸（phospholipid saturated fatty acids，SFA）与糖尿病的关系一直并不清楚。最新一项研究发表在Lancet子刊上，认为二者密切关联。

该 研究来自于著名的病例队列研究EPIC-InterAct。该研究共纳入12403位发生2型糖尿病的患者，以及从340234欧洲群体中选择的代表性亚 队列16154人进行对照研究。SFA采用气相色谱法进行检测。亚队列采用随机排序方法选取。研究评估了SFA对2型糖尿病发生风险的关系，研究采用 Prentice加权的COX回归模型。

校正分析发现，SFA与2型糖尿病发生呈复杂的相关性。14：0 [肉豆蔻酸]，16：0 [棕榈酸]，和18：0 [硬脂酸]与2型糖尿病发生显著正相关，对糖尿病发生风险分别为
肉豆蔻酸(myristic acid) 1·15 [95% CI 1·09—1·22], 棕榈酸(palmitic acid)
1·26 [1·15—1·37], 硬脂酸(stearic acid) 1·06 [1·00—1·13])。与之相反的是，奇数碳SFA则呈现保护效应。15：0[十五烷酸]和17：0[十七烷酸]与2型糖尿病发生显著负相关。十五烷 酸为(HR： 0·79 [95%CI：0·73—0·85]，十七烷酸为0·67 [95%CI：0·63—0·71]。作为长链SFA方面，20：0 [花生酸]，22：0 [山嵛酸]，23：0 [二十三烷酸]，和24：0 [木蜡酸]对2型糖尿病的发生影响的风险在0.72-0.81之间。

这项研究表明，血浆磷脂SFA与2型糖尿病发生密切相关，但是它们的效应是不一致的。这项研究也提示对SFA的亚型分别进行分析是十分重要的，对今后指导脂肪酸的类型也有一定的指导价值。
