的邹颖,在 Letters in Applied Microbiology 杂志发表了题为:

2019_nCoV/SARS-CoV-2: Rapid classification of betacoronaviruses and identification of traditional Chinese medicine as potential origin of zoonotic coronaviruses 的研究论文,论文中文译名: 新型冠状病毒:β冠状病毒的快速分类,以及确认中药是人畜共患病冠状病毒的潜在来源。

该研究鉴定了不同冠状病毒的基因组区域,包括新型冠状病毒(目前被称为SARS-CoV-2),今后这些区域可以作为基因组靶点,在不知道一种新冠状病毒具体的性质之前,用来检测出这种病毒,也可能在爆发初期将对其的检测加快几天或者几周。

此外,该研究还提出了,蝙蝠的粪便作为中药材,因此采集和制作中药夜明砂的过程中,活蝙蝠会与人类及其他动物接触,这是人类感染冠状病毒的一个潜在途径。

另外,作者们注意到一些关于活蝙蝠的交易活动,在这些交易当中,活蝙蝠与其他动物密切接触,因为这种病毒(正如其他类似SARS的冠状病毒)天然存在于蝙蝠体内。携带这些病毒的蝙蝠种类被用于中药,为了制作中药,人们从野外将其捕获,让它们活着以获得其粪便。而捕捉、保存以及贩卖这些蝙蝠的人也很有可能也捕捉贩卖其它的哺乳动物,将它们和蝙蝠放在一起。

这样做非常危险,因为这使得蝙蝠(冠状病毒的自然宿主)人为地与其他哺乳动物密切接触,从而使得病毒感染到新的哺乳动物,而一旦那个新宿主被感染,就会增大感染人类的风险。
