这份ENETS指南文件由一个多学科工作组编写，以不同的格式提供了先前结直肠指导文件的更新。在关键临床问题的指导下，提供了盲肠、结肠和直肠神经内分泌肿瘤(NET)的诊断和治疗的实用建议。虽然在一份指导文件中有涉及，但结直肠网络包括异质性肿瘤组。最常见的直肠网状肿瘤通常是小的G1肿瘤，可以通过适当的内镜切除技术治疗。来自转移性结直肠癌NET治疗的前瞻性临床试验的证据有限，强烈建议在有经验的多学科肿瘤委员会对患者进行讨论。神经内分泌癌(NEC)和混合性神经内分泌非神经内分泌肿瘤(MiNEN)在单独的指导文件中讨论。
