成纤维细胞生长因子21FGF21)是一种内分泌因子,在糖尿病和能量代谢障碍中具有决定性作用。这种主要由肝脏合成的因子被认为是治疗2型糖尿病和非酒精性脂肪肝的潜在治疗靶点。根据临床前研究,口服EPB-53分子可以增加肝脏和血浆中FGF21的水平。EPB-53是一种激活HRI(由血红素基因调节的eIF2α激酶)的分子,HRI可以促进FGF21的转录因子,从而降低小鼠的葡萄糖耐量和肝脂肪变性。
