早产儿更易出现语言障碍

据新华社电 一项美国研究发现，早产儿大脑听觉皮层发育迟缓，导致其幼儿时期的语言表达能力可能较差。这一发现有望为儿童语言能力问题的诊断和干预提供指导。妊娠期一般要持续40周，早产是指妊娠不满37周的分娩，这是导致新生儿死亡或长期并发症的主要原因。美国伊利诺伊大学语言和听觉科学教授布赖恩·蒙森领导的研究团队对圣路易斯儿童医院新生儿重症监护室的90名早产儿进行研究，并以圣路易斯巴恩斯-犹太医院


据新华社电 一项美国研究发现，早产儿大脑听觉皮层发育迟缓，导致其幼儿时期的语言表达能力可能较差。这一发现有望为儿童语言能力问题的诊断和干预提供指导。

妊娠期一般要持续40周，早产是指妊娠不满37周的分娩，这是导致新生儿死亡或长期并发症的主要原因。

美国伊利诺伊大学语言和听觉科学教授布赖恩·蒙森领导的研究团队对圣路易斯儿童医院新生儿重症监护室的90名早产儿进行研究，并以圣路易斯巴恩斯-犹太医院出生的15名足月出生的婴儿作为对照。

研究团队1月15日在美国《神经科学学报》电子版上发表论文说，他们观察并比较了两组婴儿在胎儿期及出生后“初级听觉皮层”和“非初级听觉皮层”的发育水平。初级听觉皮层是人接收听觉信号的第一个脑区，非初级听觉皮层则用来处理更加复杂的刺激。

结果发现，妊娠26周时，胎儿初级听觉皮层比非初级听觉皮层发育更快。26周到40周之间，非初级听觉皮层快速发育，部分赶上初级听觉皮层的发育水平。但40周时，矫正胎龄的早产儿这两个脑区均比足月分娩的婴儿发育水平差。所谓矫正胎龄是指早产儿的实际胎龄加上出生后的周龄。

进一步研究发现，非初级听觉皮层发育迟缓与儿童两岁时语言能力偏弱存在关联。这表明早产造成该脑区发育缓慢，可能导致儿童出现语言表达问题。
