随着昼夜节律的波动,造血干细胞和祖细胞(HSPCs)以及白细胞在骨髓(BM)和外周血之间不断地循环往复。自主交感神经去甲肾上腺素能信号已被证明可调控HSPC和白细胞转移,但胆碱能分支的作用尚不明确。研究人员在小鼠模型中研究胆碱能神经系统在调控HSPCs和白细胞日夜转移中的作用。

研究人员发现自主胆碱能神经系统(包括副交感神经和交感神经)可双重调控HSPCs和白细胞的日常转移。在夜间,中枢副交感神经胆碱能信号抑制交感神经去甲肾上腺素能调剂,降低HSPCs和白细胞的BM输出量。但在白天,交感神经去甲肾上腺素能信号通过β3-AR促进HSPCs和白细胞从BM向外转移;这类输出主要是由光触发交感神经胆碱能活性,抑制BM血管细胞黏附和归巢来局部调控的。

总而言之,中枢(副交感神经)和局部(交感神经)胆碱能信号调控循环HSPCs和白细胞的日/夜波动。本研究展示了自主神经系统的两种分支(交感和副交感)是如何协同调控HSPCs和白细胞的日常转移。
