近日,国际生物学期刊Cell Reports在线刊登了来自加州大学伯克利分校Andreas Stahl研究组的最新研究成果,他们发现棕色脂肪细胞表面清道夫受体CD36能够驱动线粒体电子传递链重要组分辅酶Q的摄取,这对棕色脂肪细胞发挥功能具有重要意义。
 
研究人员指出,棕色脂肪组织主要由多脂滴脂肪细胞组成,并且含有丰富的线粒体,棕色脂肪细胞能够通过解偶联蛋白对线粒体氧化呼吸链进行解偶联作用,将消耗的能量转化为非颤栗性产热。辅酶Q是线粒体呼吸链中一个重要组分,细胞内的辅酶Q主要通过内源性途径合成获得。虽然现在通过外源补充辅酶Q的方法已经成功用于治疗辅酶Q缺乏病人,但主要摄取外源性补充辅酶Q的组织以及摄取机制仍不清楚,辅酶Q摄取在棕色脂肪组织功能发挥中的作用也没有进展。在这篇文章中,Courtney M. Anderson等人发现清道夫受体CD36能够驱动棕色脂肪细胞摄取辅酶Q,并且这一过程对棕色脂肪组织发挥正常功能至关重要。在CD36缺失小鼠的棕色脂肪组织中,辅酶Q的摄取出现障碍,同时导致棕色脂肪细胞内脂质代谢和线粒体功能出现紊乱以及非颤栗性产热功能缺失。
 
综上所述,该项研究发现,外源性辅酶Q主要通过清道夫受体CD36被棕色脂肪细胞摄入,在缺失CD36的棕色脂肪组织内会出现代谢紊乱以及非颤栗性产热功能缺失,影响棕色脂肪正常功能。
